Wheels get hotter, dirtier and more corrosive treatment than any painted panel on the car — and they are the part most people give up on cleaning properly.
Brake dust is hot metal particle. It lands on a wheel face at temperature and effectively welds itself into the finish, which is why wheels go permanently grey-brown no matter how often you wash them. A coating puts a hard, heat-tolerant barrier between the dust and the wheel.
Wheels are cleaned thoroughly, decontaminated with an iron treatment, and where practical removed so we can coat the barrels and not just the faces. Then they are coated and cured. From that point, brake dust sits on the surface and comes off with a rinse and a light wash rather than aggressive acid cleaners.
If your wheels are already pitted or the lacquer has failed, we will tell you straight — a coating seals a good finish, it does not rebuild a damaged one.
