GYEON and ONYX ceramic coatings, machine paint correction and overspray removal for Parkdale drivers. We come to you, or you bring the car to our Berwick studio (24 km from Parkdale).
Coastal paint ages faster than paint twenty minutes inland, and Parkdale is no exception. Salt accelerates corrosion around chips and trim, and UV reflected off the water flattens colour. Sealing the surface is the single most useful thing you can do.
Every Parkdale booking is handled by Andy himself — owner-operated, 30+ years on paint, and the same standard for a daily driver, a work ute or a weekend car. Tell us the car and what is bothering you and you will get a straight answer.
Around Parkdale Plaza, Parkdale station and Como Private Hospital.
Exterior metal trim pits and dulls in salt air. Coating it keeps it bright.
Wet towels, sunscreen and sand wear interiors quickly. Coated fabric and leather resist sunscreen marks and moisture.
Salt film on glass scatters light and makes night driving harder. Glass coating keeps it clearer and sheds water at speed.
A fine saline film settles on the car constantly and attracts moisture. On a coated car it rinses off; on bare paint it sits and works away at it.
We inspect the paint under proper lighting and measure the clear coat, then tell you what it actually needs.
Iron-fallout treatment and a clay strip, so nothing is ever sealed in under the coating.
Machine polishing in measured stages to remove swirls and etching rather than fill them.
GYEON or ONYX applied panel by panel and cured under cover — in the studio, or in your garage on a mobile job — with the warranty registered.
CDS is mobile across Melbourne's south-east, Parkdale included, and also runs a studio in Berwick (24 km from you) if you would rather drop the car in. Near the water it is salt air and the sea breeze that matter: a coating needs to cure dry and out of the wind. A closed garage does that; otherwise the studio does. Mention your parking set-up when you enquire and Andy will say honestly which way gives the better result.
More often than inland - a thorough rinse after windy days and beach trips helps a lot. On a coated car that rinse does most of the work.
Yes. Brightwork and plastic trim suffer as much as paint by the water, and both can be coated.
Rinse the lower panels, wheels and the tow bar area after every ramp run. Coated wheels and sills make that rinse far more effective.
