GYEON and ONYX ceramic coatings, machine paint correction and overspray removal for Edithvale drivers. We come to you, or you bring the car to our Berwick studio (20 km from Edithvale).
Coastal paint ages faster than paint twenty minutes inland, and Edithvale is no exception. Salt accelerates corrosion around chips and trim, and UV reflected off the water flattens colour. Sealing the surface is the single most useful thing you can do.
CDS is owner-operated. The person who looks at your paint is the person who corrects and coats it — Andy, with 30+ years of experience — so what you are quoted for Edithvale is exactly what gets done.
Around Edithvale station and Beeson Reserve.
Exterior metal trim pits and dulls in salt air. Coating it keeps it bright.
Wet towels, sunscreen and sand wear interiors quickly. Coated fabric and leather resist sunscreen marks and moisture.
Salt film on glass scatters light and makes night driving harder. Glass coating keeps it clearer and sheds water at speed.
A fine saline film settles on the car constantly and attracts moisture. On a coated car it rinses off; on bare paint it sits and works away at it.
We inspect the paint under proper lighting and measure the clear coat, then tell you what it actually needs.
Iron-fallout treatment and a clay strip, so nothing is ever sealed in under the coating.
Machine polishing in measured stages to remove swirls and etching rather than fill them.
GYEON or ONYX applied panel by panel and cured under cover — in the studio, or in your garage on a mobile job — with the warranty registered.
CDS is mobile across Melbourne's south-east, Edithvale included, and also runs a studio in Berwick (20 km from you) if you would rather drop the car in. Near the water it is salt air and the sea breeze that matter: a coating needs to cure dry and out of the wind. A closed garage does that; otherwise the studio does. Mention your parking set-up when you enquire and Andy will say honestly which way gives the better result.
Rinse the lower panels, wheels and the tow bar area after every ramp run. Coated wheels and sills make that rinse far more effective.
It will not fix existing rust, and it cannot seal a chip that is already through to metal. It does slow corrosion by keeping salt off intact paint.
Yes - a proper interior detail gets sand out of seat rails, carpet and vents, and a fabric coating makes the next lot easier to vacuum.
